I was going to charge for some of this stuff but to hell with it (I'm such a liar I am going to charge for two things). If you feel like donating to the Jenn is moving fund when picking up free stuff I won't complain. Stuff is on a first claim, first get basis. If you want something, leave me a comment. If you know someone who might want some of this, feel free to send them my way. The post is public and I can be e-mailed at journal name @livejournal dot com. I will mail things to people but may ask to be repaid for postage. I take paypal. Any questions about an item, let me know.

Still have the water fountain, still don't have a digital camera. Will take a phone pic for [livejournal.com profile] dannarra though. Edit:I lied I do have a functioning digital camera but still no picture of the fountain sorry.

for soon I will be selling and giving away stuff.

In an effort to generally have less stuff and to make it easier to move whenst the time comes, I am going to be selling or giving away various possessions. There will be all kinds of things and stuff. Most of it will be cheap and some of it may be free.

Anything that doesn't get taken will go to craigslist or to goodwill or some such place.

More details to come.
Okay all of you techies out there. I'm researching help desk solutions for my company cause our current one sucks. I'd also like to have automated asset management because it would make my life so much easier. So any suggestions? Any solutions that your companies use or past employers have used that seemed to work well?

We manage about 300 users in 8 locations across the globe. I would really like it if it integrated with the inventory and e-mail and Active Directory.

I'm doing some web research but there is so much out there it would be good to have some particular vendors to look at.

(yes I need a technology icon)

Candy Striper
You scored 76% Do Gooder, 63% Drive, and 57% Intellect!
(That's STRIPER, not Stripper) You are a very helpful person indeed, always ready to lend a hand, ear, shoulder, or any other body part that may be required. You are warm and caring, as well as resourceful and effective. You are actually one of the best categories of human beings on this test. You're smart, but not too smart for your own good. I think you could benefit from some self-preservation because you are such an unselfish giver who is willing to help at a moment's notice. Not that that's a bad thing, just make some time for yourself now and then. The world would benefit from more people like you.

All human being categories are: Lazy SOB, Rebel w/out a Cause, Evil Mastermind, Henchman, Criminal, Dictator, Frat Boy, Socialite, Philosopher, Stunt Double, Upstanding Citizen, Teacher, Cheerleader, Sister Mary DoGood, Benefactor, Loyal Sidekick, Candy Striper, Goody Two-Shoes.

My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 83% on Do Gooder

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 61% on Drive

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 22% on Intellect

If you are thinking of donating money to help out the area hit by Hurricane Katrina, I suggest donating to Oxfam America. Oxfam America is distributing emergency grants and relief supplies to local organizations working in the Gulf Coast region. Through these organizations, we have been addressing economic and community development in coastal Mississippi and Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta for 15 years. As we have a clearer understanding of the needs and wishes of the communities where we work, we will continue to step up our direct response and plan for their long-term recovery. In addition, we will explore new partnerships with other organizations that can represent the voices of the rural survivors of the storm.

In other words, they've been working with the poor communities in this area for a long time before this and are attuned to their needs. They are getting help to those who the Red Cross and the government aren't reaching.

As an employee of Oxfam America I can assure you that they people here are committed to making a difference and helping people. I see their hard work and dedication every day.

Are better when watched from either very far away or on TV. Because that way you don't come home smelling like black powder and don't have to worry about getting clocked by falling debris. Not to mention the flashbacks to when I was ten and actually did get hit by a firework. I suppose it was better than staying home alone, but not by much.

a real post in the near future. Like tomorrow.
Check it out, a Western Mass Craigslist! Boy could I have used this when I lived out there. Good thing somebody caught on.

a comic only firefly fans will think is funny...

Going to see Episode III tonight..wheee!
Happy news. I have an interview at a place that I really, really want to work at tomorrow. Yay! Go me!! Wish me lots of luck.

My LJ name is [livejournal.com profile] ifuonlyknew NOT [livejournal.com profile] ifyouonlyknew which belongs to some kid named Andrew. I wouldn't make a big deal of it except the wrong spelling leads to an actual journal that isn't me. So if people click the link to see who it is exactly that you are mentioning they think you spent time with some Andrew dude who has like 2 entries. /rant

Life is pretty good. There are wonderful boys and wonderful friends and wonderful weather (except for today).

If you are doing your taxes yourself (and/or have to do other people's taxes, like me) and would like to be able to file state and federal for free (if you qualify) then make sure to access the free file programs through the State Department of Revenue website *NOT* the federal website.

If you live in Massachusetts here is the website http://www.dor.state.ma.us Then follow the e-file links.

Also, don't every unintentionally volunteer to do you parents taxes. *slaps hand to forehead*

That is all for now.

I have a job interview tomorrow!! That whole one resume that I sent out last weekend actually go response. It's with an art gallery in Cambridge and I'd be doing office work. But office work doesn't sound as bad when it's related to an art gallery. I'm not sure about the financial details of the job, so it may not be something that I can afford to take but if nothing else it's interview practice and it gives me hope that I can find a job. Yay!!
